One day, we started our morning in La Línea with a simple but lovely Spanish breakfast at a local café—tostada with tomato, olive oil, and coffee that somehow tasted better in the sun. I was staying at my friend Corina’s place, and together with her and my boyfriend at the time, we set off to explore Gibraltar.
Crossing the border was an interesting experience, as we also had to cross through the airport where the planes were landing! The monkeys on the Rock of Gibraltar were surprisingly friendly, but quick to snatch anything they fancied, so we kept a careful eye on our bags.
As the sun began to set, I got completely lost in the light. The golden hour melted into blue, and I couldn’t stop photographing the breathtaking views from the Rock.
Typical me.. I stayed a little too long chasing the perfect shot. The park was closing, and we suddenly had to find another way out. It was a little stressful, slightly funny, and exactly the kind of memory I love, leaving with my camera full and a happy heart.
