WestZouktime - A Place That Became Home
In 2015, we found ourselves once again at WestZouktime, but this time, things felt even more special. Andy, who had already joined me at WestZouktime back in 2013, was back this time with his wife Monica, two fellow passionate dancers from Timisoara.
The energy at WestZouktime had always been incredible, but now it felt like something more, it felt like home. The Babylon Hall, where the workshops and parties took place, had transformed into a pure heaven for my soul. Every beat of the music, every step of the dance, it was all so magical. I could feel the love and energy of the Zouk community surrounding me. It wasn’t just an event anymore; it was a place that would stay in my heart forever.
The workshops and parties that unfolded in that hall were nothing short of a dream. We moved, laughed, and connected with people from all over. The people, the moments, and the rhythm of Zouk made it more than just a festival. The Babylon Hall became a very dear part of my life, one that I still look back on with fondness.
I didn’t know it at the time, but that event marked the beginning of something bigger. Monica and Andy would go on to teach Zouk in Timisoara, and we all continued this journey together. That sense of community, of belonging, of Zouk, was something I would carry with me for years to come. It’s a place I still call home to this day.
