I still remember the excitement bubbling inside me that morning, the first day of Zouk workshops in Timișoara. It felt surreal. Zouk classes… in our city? I couldn’t believe it was really happening. I left home with a huge smile, hopped on my bike, and pedaled through the streets like a kid on the way to their favorite playground. The autumn air felt lighter, and everything around me seemed to hum with anticipation.
Along with Andy and Monica, I had helped organize the event and we had invited Guido and Mariana to guide us through this beautiful dance. As I arrived at the dance school, heart racing, I could already feel the energy building. That mix of nerves and joy before stepping into something completely new.
For years, I had only dreamed of learning Zouk, let alone helping bring it to life in my own city. That day, watching everyone move together to the rhythm, I realized this was the start of a dream coming true.
