My second Brazilian Zouk event brought me to Vienna... but what made the weekend even more special was that it wasn’t just about dancing. It was also a chance to reconnect with one of the most important people in my life: my best friend, Oana.
She had recently moved to Vienna for her master’s degree, building a whole new chapter in this elegant, culture-soaked city. Between workshops, socials, and dance classes, I got to catch glimpses of her world.
There was something incredibly grounding about those in-between moments, grabbing dinner together, walking through the city as spring slowly crept in, laughing like we always used to, but now in a new setting that somehow suited her perfectly.
It felt like the weekend danced in two rhythms...one fast and passionate, pulsing with zouk beats and connection; the other soft and steady, filled with conversations, comfort, and the joy of witnessing a friend grow into her dreams.
And in the middle of it all, Vienna, glowing with charm, full of music, full of stories. I came for the dance, but I left with something fuller: beautiful memories both on and off the dance floor.
