Another ski trip to Straja, another memory etched in soft snow and warm laughter. This time, it wasn’t just about the slopes, it was about the company. I went with Geena, her playful little daughter Jenny, and their wonderful owners, who by now had become dear friends of mine.
We were greeted by a fresh blanket of snow, thick and powdery, the kind that makes everything feel like a dream. And that’s exactly how the day unfolded...like a dream, especially with Geena and Jenny bouncing around, playing together like they were made for winter.
Watching them chase each other, roll through the snow, and tumble with the kind of pure, uninhibited joy only dogs know; it was impossible not to smile. Jenny, still so young and full of wonder, was discovering snowflakes like it was her first time. Geena, ever the gentle and patient mom, matched her energy with every playful leap.
I had my camera with me, of course. I couldn’t resist capturing the spark in Jenny’s eyes, the way the snow clung to their fur, the trails of pawprints weaving through untouched white. Some moments felt almost too magical to be real...the mountain in the distance, the girls framed in snowflakes and joy.
It wasn’t just about skiing that day. It was about laughter, love, fur-filled snowball fights, and the kind of lighthearted moments that remind you how simple happiness can be. A perfect winter memory, frozen in both time and photographs.
