A summer hike in the Făgăraș Mountains, my favorite range in Romania, turned into one of the most peaceful adventures. As we made our way up, the clouds danced slowly around the sharp peaks, offering me perfect moments to capture with my camera... moody ridges, dramatic skies, and golden light breaking through.
On our way to the top, we had a nice encounter with a group of small black goats right near the ridge. They watched us curiously from the rocks, adding a magical touch to the wild alpine atmosphere.
Reaching Moldoveanu Peak in the late afternoon was the best decision. Most hikers had already descended, and the highest point in the country felt almost like a private viewpoint. Just us, the wind, and the vastness around.
There’s something special about being above the clouds, where the silence feels heavier and more meaningful. Făgăraș always has a way of reminding me why I keep coming back.
