One of the most unforgettable stops on my solo Interrail trip through Switzerland was Montreux. Nestled between the mountains and the lake, the scenery felt like something out of a dream. I spent hours walking by the water, my camera always in hand, capturing the golden light as the sun dipped behind the peaks.
The Château de Chillon looked like it belonged in a fairy tale, especially at sunset. I felt completely in my element—chasing the light, framing compositions, experimenting with angles. It was one of the first times I truly felt like a travel landscape photographer.
Later, I climbed to a viewpoint above the city and watched Montreux slowly light up under the soft tones of blue hour. That photograph, peaceful lake, glowing town, fading light, still reminds me of that magical moment when passion and place came together perfectly.
