Hiking days: Ineu Peak(2279m) and Omului Peak(2135m)

The Rodnei Mountains had been on my list for a long time. I’d always wanted to hike there and photograph the rhododendron flowers in bloom. So when the moment finally came, I was really excited. I went with a good friend and my dog, Geena. We planned to sleep in a tent, a first for me, which made the trip feel even more like an adventure.

The first day of hiking turned out to be much harder than we expected. The trail was long and tiring, but the views were absolutely worth it. I still remember the sunset that evening... the colors were beautiful, and even though the wind was blowing hard, I barely noticed because I was so focused on taking photos. The next morning, I wasn’t so lucky. I woke up with a fever and felt really sick from the cold and wind.

We stayed in the mountains for three days. By the time we headed back, I had started to feel better, and despite getting sick, the whole trip left me with amazing memories. Geena was just as tired as we were. I came back with a full camera and a full heart, happy that I finally made this dream trip happen.
