A huge city between two continents

Right after Zouktime in Brno, I flew to Istanbul and that’s when I slowly started to leave Europe behind. I was so excited to begin my one-month journey through Turkey.

I spent almost two weeks in Istanbul, and it was incredible. The city felt huge, full of energy and contrast. I walked through so many neighborhoods, each with its own vibe. It was also one of the most photogenic places I’d seen, layers of history, mosques, street life, and that ever-changing light.

It was something different for me. I hadn’t spent much time in Arabic-influenced places before, and I found myself really enjoying this city, especially the sweets. I couldn’t get enough of them. :)
