The next stop on our trip was Mljet Island, and it left a unique and lasting impression on me. Unlike other places we visited, Mljet felt quiet and untouched... a peaceful retreat far from the buzz of tourism. It’s a small island, mostly a national park, and it holds a special kind of stillness that immediately calmed me.
We went on a hike through the park, and every step felt like a form of therapy. The air was fresh, the forest was quiet, and the path led us through layers of green toward a hidden gem, a small series of cliffs overlooking the sea and the island’s rolling hills.
Standing there, with the sun above and silence all around, I felt so present and grounded. The view was stunning, and in that moment I couldn’t help but wish I had a drone to capture it all from above. But even without one, the memory stayed perfectly clear in my mind, peaceful, wild, and deeply healing.
