After weeks of driving, hiking, and exploring the Alps, we made our way down to the north of Croatia for a well-deserved break. We camped near the coast, not far from Rovinj and Vrsar, and spent two slow, sunny weeks by the sea.
My friend’s parents were there too, and it felt like the perfect way to close the trip. No more early hikes or mountain roads, just beach days, warm evenings, and the sound of waves. One day, we even went out on a boat and saw dolphins swimming nearby. That moment alone made the whole day magical.
But the most unexpected thing happened one night back at the campsite. I was outside the tent talking on my phone when I heard a splash, looked toward the water, and there it was... a dolphin, swimming just off the shore under the moonlight. It felt unreal, like the sea was giving me one last little surprise.
Those two weeks were simple, slow, and full of quiet joy. After all the intensity of the Alps, this stretch of the trip let me fully breathe, rest, and just enjoy where I was.
