Our next stop in Norway was Åndalsnes, another leg of our Interrail adventure, and another place that left a strong mark on me. We had heard about a beautiful hike there that led to a stunning viewpoint over the fjords, and even though our time was tight, we decided we couldn’t miss it.
We arrived by train, as usual, and quickly realized we had only a small window of time before we had to catch the only train back. Everything had to be perfectly timed. So we started the hike fast. It wasn’t a peaceful, slow ascent; it was a determined push, hearts racing, legs burning, but laughter and adrenaline keeping us going.
I remember all of us rushing up the trail, cheering each other on, breathless from both the effort and the views slowly opening up around us. And then we reached the top, just in time.
The view was absolutely priceless. Towering peaks, deep fjords stretching out below, and that raw, untamed Norwegian beauty that takes your words away. I quickly took some photos, trying to capture a piece of the moment before we had to rush back down.
We made it to the train, barely, sweaty, tired, and totally exhilarated. That mad dash to the top for a few precious minutes of breathtaking views? It was absolutely worth it. The pictures still speak for themselves.
