After exploring the Amazon, I returned to the jungle...this time for something quieter, deeper. I went to a retreat near Nauta, where I spent nine days completely immersed in nature. My shelter was a tiny wooden hut, with walls made entirely of mosquito nets... no glass, no bricks, just a thin layer between me and the wild.
With no distractions, no noise from the outside world, I was left alone with myself, the sounds of the forest, and the rhythm of the days. Each moment was stripped down to the essentials...light, breath, stillness.
It was one of the most impressive and grounding experiences I’ve ever had. Being that close to nature, and that close to myself, changed something in me.
