Ausangate stole my heart in a quiet, unexpected way.
There was a moment, somewhere up there among the glaciers, turquoise lakes, and towering peaks, where I felt myself open up. It was like my heart softened, like I let something in that I hadn’t felt in a long time.
I was surrounded by high mountains that still carry their ancient glaciers, fragile but breathtaking, and there was this vast, sacred silence in the air. I wandered between lakes that shimmered in shades of blue and green, taking photos, but also just standing still.
Something about Ausangate overwhelmed me...but in the most beautiful way.
It was powerful, grounding, and emotional.
It felt like the mountain met me exactly where I was and offered something back.
