Two Winter Weeks in Brașov
I had been looking forward to spending some proper time in Brașov, since I’d never really done that before. So deciding to stay there for two full weeks and work remotely felt like the perfect plan. I found a cozy place right in the heart of the city, on one of the main streets in the center. It was a great base: close to everything, with a relaxed rhythm that made it easy to explore at my own pace.
During those two weeks, I visited some of the places around Brașov like Piatra Craiului, Holbav, and a few scattered villages tucked into the hills. But I also loved just being in the city. I spent a lot of time walking through the old center and going up into the nearby park, Tâmpa Hill, for a view over the rooftops.
One night, it started snowing softly, and the streets became completely quiet. I wandered through the empty city, taking photos of the tiny snowflakes falling under the warm streetlights. At the Black Church, a single bulb lit the building while snow danced around it in the dark. That night felt peaceful and slow, one of those moments you don’t plan, but end up remembering clearly.
