While I was in Mexico City, I took a trip to Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl National Park with a dance friend. We went to see the Popocatépetl volcano, and it was incredible to watch the smoke and ash rising into the sky.
What made it even more special was that we danced there, Zouk, right on the mountain. It was my first time reaching almost 4,000 meters in altitude, and dancing at that height, surrounded by such raw, powerful nature, was something I’ll never forget. I was deeply moved by the immensity of the mountains and the silence that wrapped around them.
