While I was in the U.S., I spent five days in Chicago for a Zouk Festival. It felt a bit surreal...I couldn’t believe I had actually made it there. Chicago had been one of those faraway names in my mind, and suddenly I was walking its streets.
I didn’t have a lot of time to explore, but I made space for some evening walks through the city center. The lights, the architecture, the river at night... it all had a kind of calm intensity. Being there, mixing dance and photography, and catching glimpses of the city after dark, made the experience feel complete.
