Our next stop on the road trip was a place I had been wanting to photograph for a long time: Geroldsee, also known as Wagenbrüchsee. It’s one of the most photogenic spots in Bavaria, a favorite among landscape photographers, and I had seen so many beautiful images taken there that I knew I had to go.
We arrived early in the morning, just before sunrise. A soft mist was drifting across the field, weaving between the trees and little wooden huts scattered around the lake. The mountains stood quietly in the background, and the whole scene felt unreal.
I set up my camera and started shooting. The light, the mist, the stillness... it all came together. I took photos of the trees emerging from the fog, the soft colors in the sky, and that peaceful Bavarian landscape that I had only seen online until then.
It was one of those rare moments where everything aligns. A place I had dreamed of seeing, the exact kind of atmosphere I had hoped for, and a quiet satisfaction that made waking up early more than worth it.
