A Sunset Near the Castle
One afternoon during the pandemic, while I was living in southern Germany, I went on a mission to go watch the sunset near Hohenzollern Castle. I had heard it was a beautiful spot, and I brought my camera with me, hoping to catch some good light.
The air was crisp, and the sky slowly turned golden as the sun dropped behind the hills. From where I stood, the castle rose above the trees like something out of a storybook... majestic, quiet, and slightly surreal.
The timing was perfect. The sun hit the clouds just right, casting a warm glow across the sky, with the castle outlined in soft orange light. I stood there, taking photos, but also just taking it in.
In the middle of so much uncertainty, that moment felt still. Just me, the view, and a kind of peace I hadn’t felt in a while.
