Zouk Family in Mexico was unlike any other event I had attended. Set deep in the jungle, it felt like stepping into another world—where the usual focus on just dancing shifted to something much deeper. The workshops weren’t only about technique but also about intentions and self-exploration. It was a chance to reconnect with yourself, your energy, and your purpose in a way that dance alone couldn’t provide.
The dances were different too—slower, more intentional, and rich with meaning. It was a more reflective atmosphere, where the focus was not just on the steps but on the connection with yourself and others. Everything about the event was unique, from the environment to the energy of the people there.
It wasn’t just a festival; it was an experience that reminded me that dance is not only about movement, but also about self-discovery and setting your intentions.
